Sweater Weather - Final Installment

by Apple Peterson in , , , ,

Baby, It's cold outside is an understatement! First day of winter is not scheduled to arrive until December 21st and already we're seeing the tell tale signs of the coldest winter to date here in Central California (well, since we've moved here 12 years ago).

So let's wrap up our sweater weather installment with the thickest and warmest sweaters out there. Bundle up folks and perhaps one of these sweaters would make as a perfect gift for this cold, cold, winter!

Good luck to all of you last minute shoppers!

Grateful. Thankful. Always.

For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

What do you know?

Quite frankly at the age of 40, I still get a lot of aha! moments. My kids are always teaching me something new, mostly how to do less and enjoy the moment. I enjoy micromanaging my little world so it is in their best interest that they teach me the art of letting go ...

But what about those little things that you see on TV or hear on the radio, like for starters ... what the lines on a Solo cup means? I'm not a big alcohol drinker and a Solo cup for me is basically that - just a Solo cup!

When I found out that each of the line outside of the cup actually corresponds to some sort of alcoholic measurement - I was flabbergasted! I was beginning to think that I've been living under a rock!

So I went ahead and did some research on A LOT of things that I didn't know and I've covered a few that was really surprising to me.

Soda tabs could be use as a straw holder, if you don't want your straw to bob up and down that is.    reddit.com

The handle of your pots usually have a hole of a slot at the end that I have always associated with hanging them in a pot rack. Not so! Apparently, they are also used as a wooden spoon holder.

I guess it's never too late to learn something, even at 40 ;)
